Spring 2022 -
It’s said that it takes a village to raise a child. Well, we put our big little glitter village to the test this spring when we heard about a 4-year-old in need of a blessing. Kutter was in a horrible farm accident on April 13th and suffered very serious, life-threatening injuries. He had internal organ damage as well as a very complex broken leg that left him fighting to keep it. He has already been through multiple surgeries with more upcoming.
Perhaps it was that he was at a similar age as the triplets that LittleLee and RoseTM is named after or simply that this little boy needed his village – any village to help fight for him, even a village that his family didn’t even know existed.
Our LIittleLee and Rose Glitter Gives BackTM village, the GlitteratiTM, came through once again in a massive, heart-warming way. Inspired by John Deere tractor green, Summer mixed a new gorgeous green glitter live. This exclusive glitter was aptly named, Kutter.
We partnered with a local rancher at Pearly Ranch Miniature Cattle Co. that was raffling off a mini cow with all the proceeds from ticket sales going directly to the family – in which she was personally connected. We used all of the direct donations and proceeds from the LittleLee and Rose Glitter Gives BackTM Kutter glitter to purchase raffle tickets towards that give-away. Summer vowed that if LittleLee and Rose and the Glitterati community won the raffle, the cow would be auctioned and full proceeds would go to the family as well – Basically doubling the donation toward Kutter.
Unfortunately, our tickets did not win the cow, but your love and support helped provide Kutter and his family with much needed financial support as well as the love and sense of our village.
Just last week, Kutter was back on his feet and showing livestock at the Cowboy Classic Show Series. It was a huge step in his recovery and we’re all very proud of him.
Thanks to all who participated for being part of the best side of the glitter business. We love you!
